At sunrise, the rhythm of the five elements begins.
Every 24 minutes a different Tattwa takes over. Tatwametro calculates this rhythm for your location and shows you the golden hours, when a Tattwa and its planet vibrate together.

The five Tattwas
Tattva (तत्त्व) is Sanskrit for “principle” or “essence”. In the Indian tradition, five elements vibrate one after another through every day: Ether (Akasha), Air (Vayu), Fire (Tejas), Earth (Prithvi) and Water (Apas).
Each element shapes mood, energy and the favorable moments for 24 minutes. Knowing which one is active lets you choose the right moment for what you do.

Golden hours: when Tattwa and planet vibrate together
Alongside the Tattwas runs the rhythm of the planetary hours. Every Tattwa has its planet. When a Tattwa window starts in an hour ruled by its own planet, both vibrate alike: that is its golden hour. The app shows them and reminds you.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Tattwa?
Tattva (तत्त्व) is Sanskrit for “principle”. It refers to the five elements Akasha (ether), Vayu (air), Tejas (fire), Prithvi (earth) and Apas (water), which vibrate one after another through every day.
How long does a Tattwa last and when does the cycle start?
Each Tattwa lasts 24 minutes. The cycle starts at sunrise where you are, in the order Akasha, Vayu, Tejas, Prithvi, Apas. One round takes 2 hours; twelve rounds later the sun rises again.
What is a golden hour?
Every Tattwa has its planet: Akasha – Saturn, Vayu – Mercury, Tejas – Sun and Mars, Prithvi – Jupiter, Apas – Moon and Venus. When a Tattwa window starts in a planetary hour of its own planet, that is its golden hour. The app shows them and can remind you.
Why does the app need my location?
Sunrise depends on where you are, so every Tattwa time, planetary hour and sun time differs from place to place. Your location is used for these calculations; you can also save places by hand.
