Privacy Policy – Tatwametro

Who we are

Tatwametro ("we", "us") is a mobile app that helps you track the currently ruling Tattva, planetary positions, moon phases, and sun times for your location. We're responsible for the personal data processed through the app.

What data we collect

Account data: When you sign up by email/password or Google Sign-In, we process your email address and authentication details (Firebase Authentication).
Birth and profile data: The birth date, time, and place you provide, used to calculate your personal Tattwa and planetary profile (stored in Cloud Firestore).
Location data: Your current or manually chosen location, used to calculate Tattwa timings and sunrise/sunset for the right place.
Usage data: Basic app usage and crash reports (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics), to improve the app and fix bugs.
Push notification token: A device token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you notifications about Tattwa changes.
Local device data: Settings and cached data stored only on your device (Hive), never transmitted to us.

How we use your data

We use your data only to:

create and manage your account;
calculate your personal Tattwa and planetary profile, plus moon and sun times;
send you relevant notifications;
improve the app and fix technical issues.

We show no ads in the app and never use your data for advertising.

Data sharing

We never sell your personal data. Your data is only shared with the following processors acting on our behalf:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — our backend provider. Google's own privacy policy applies.

We do not share data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers and protected using industry-standard technical and organizational measures. We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the app's features, or until you delete your account.

Your rights

You have the right to:

request access to the data we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate data;
request deletion of your data and account;
request restriction of, or object to, processing;
request data portability.
